Chesterfield, MO — ICS Construction Services has officially begun demolition of the former Sachs Branch Library, marking the start of construction for the new Guy and Judy Jaffe Family Branch for the St. Louis County Library system.
The new branch will be approximately 5,000 square feet larger than the existing facility, with a total footprint of 20,700 square feet. Located on the northwest edge of the property, the new building will connect directly to the site’s existing reading garden and provide expanded spaces and amenities designed to better serve the community.
Plans for the new branch include a coffee shop in partnership with Goshen Coffee Roasters, an enhanced children’s area, dedicated teen space, a larger community meeting room, eight study rooms, an outdoor patio, and an upgraded reading garden. The facility will also feature abundant natural light, comfortable seating, collaborative workspaces, and an expanded book collection for all ages.
Construction is expected to be completed in Summer 2027.
ICS Construction Services is proud to continue its partnership with St. Louis County Library in delivering modern, community-focused library facilities throughout the region.
